Grassroots Grants Programme

Note Closing date: end August 2010

Grassroots Grants is a National Programme that aims to invest in a thriving community sector across the whole of the UK to build stronger and more active communities. CNet has been appointed the "Local Funder" to deliver Grassroots Grants in the Bradford Metropolitan District.   The Grant aims to support small, largely volunteer led community organisations and groups, often with limited resources, have been in existence for at least 12 months, and has an annual income of less than £20,000 (averaged over last 3 years). Training for volunteers is one of the activities that can be funded.
Grants from £250 - £5000 are available under the scheme.   For further information on Grassroots Grants, what can be applied for, the process, etc. go to the CNet website

Train to Gain

Train to Gain is the Governments programme to upskill the workforce. Funding is available to support NVQ's, accredited, non-accredited and bespoke training. The type of training that Train to Gain can support has expanded significantly through the Enhancement Fund. You can apply for 60% of the costs of training. So if you've looked at Train to Gain before and thought that it didn't provide financial support for the type of training that your staff and volunteers need, then look again.
