Course Costs and How to Book

Prices

Our programme courses are generally aimed at organisations that have a training budget - those with staff/delivering services.  These are priced from £40 for a half day and £70 for a full day - to access this rate organisations must be working in Bradford District and have an up to date entry on DIVA.  Organisations from outside Bradford District and statutory and private organisations are welcome to attend - there are price bands for these organisations.

Occasionally we will run courses aimed at smaller/volunteer led organisations and these will be priced at a lower rate.  Volunteer-led organisations can also access support from our Voluntary Organisations Support Officers.

Permission to Attend the Course

We assume that you have gained the necessary authorisation to attend the course and will issue an invoice to your organisation for the course fees.  If your organisation refuses to pay the fees then we reserve the right to charge you the Band C rate.

Special Offers

We will continue to run free and low-cost courses (e.g. £10 per person) and special offers that do not follow our general pricing policy.  We may also run courses for other organisations who have a different pricing structure.  We will make this clear on the course details.

Refreshments

Tea and coffee, water and biscuits are usually provided on arrival and during breaks. Please note: In order to keep costs down we DO NOT provide lunch on any of the courses, unless otherwise stated on the confirmation letter.

Booking

Most of the training courses on this website are run by Community Action Bradford & District. Unless otherwise stated follow our booking procedure below.

1. Click on the online booking link on the course page.  If you are not able to book online please contact us on 01274 722772.

2. Make sure you have read and understood our Cancellation Policy.

3. Online booking does not require online payment - we will continue to send an invoice.

4. You will receive a  confirmation email with venue information  and an invoice, if applicable, will be also be sent out by email.  If you would like the invoice to go directly to finance staff please specify when booking.  Please remember to pass the invoice on for payment as soon as you receive it if you have not provided an email address for finance staff.

5. If you have not received an email confirmation within 24 hours then please contact us as it is likely that your email address has been entered incorrectly or there is a problem with your email provider.  If you have completed your booking it will show on our system regardless of the incorrect email and we will assume you are going to attend.

6. If your organisation has outstanding invoices with us we may insist these are paid before taking any new bookings.

We do not reserve places, but we can tell you if there are places available on a particular course.

Please book well in advance to avoid disappointment.  We try our best to accommodate  last minute bookings but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to process a booking in time - we may close the course to new bookings up to 3 working days before the course date.

The majority of training on this website has been part-funded to support the voluntary and community sector in the Bradford District and the cost bands reflect this.  One to one support, especially for small groups is available from Support Officers at Community Action Bradford & District.

Cancellations /Non-Attendance

All courses are subsidised for voluntary and community groups and non-attendance means that this money is lost or that we can run fewer courses in future. In addition we often have waiting lists where places could be filled if appropriate notice of a cancellation is given

  • Cancellations must be made by e-mail to training@cabad.org.uk
  • Refunds will only be given if  you have given us 5 clear working days notice
  • If less than 5 clear working days notice is given the full course fee will still be payable
  • Non-attendance is classed as a late cancellation and the full fee will be payable
  • We may charge for non-attendance at free courses - check the course details
  • You may delegate another member of your organisation to attend in your place rather than lose the full fee but you should let us know

We appreciate that, on occasion, non-attendance is unavoidable.  However we ask that the delegate's organisation covers the cost (where less than 5 working days notice has been given) so that we can keep course fees as low as possible.

All delegates are expected to check that they have authorisation to attend the course from their organisation.
