How to find our courses

  • Look at what's coming up on the Training Calendar
  • Use the side bar on the left to search by subject area
  • Use the search field in the top right of the page (see note below)

Note - past courses are still available to view via the search bar.  If there is no year on the course dates we advise checking the current Training Calendar to make sure it is a current course.

Information about our courses

Course Costs from 1st April 2016

Prices are detailed in the course information and may sometimes differ from our general price bands.  Our price bands always apply to the overall organisation not to individual projects. If you are applying for Price Band A you must be from a registered charity and we will ask you for the charity number (unless you are below the registration threshold).

Our general price bands from April 2016 are:

Price Band A – charities with turnover under £250 000

Price Band B – charities with turnover over £250 000, voluntary and community organisations not registered as charities, CICs and other social enterprises

Price Band C – statutory organisations, private companies, individuals

We offer a discount for organisations who are full members of Bradford CVS, KIVCA, SBVS and C-net.

We presume that you have permission to attend the course from your manager/the organisation.  If you do not have permission and you attend the course we reserve the right to charge you the Band C rate for individuals.

If your organisation has outstanding invoices with us we may insist that these are paid before taking bookings for any further courses.

Places on First Aid courses and courses run through Bradford University

are only available for voluntary and community organisations or social enterprises.

If courses are free or £10 then places may only be available for certain groups.  Please check with us before booking if you are unsure about eligibility.  On free courses we may make a charge of £10 for non- attendance.

Tea,coffee and biscuits are provided on arrival and during breaks.  We try to provide fruit on full day courses.

Please note: In order to keep costs down we DO NOT provide lunch on any of our courses, unless otherwise stated on the confirmation letter or course details.  We ensure that there is somewhere locally that you can purchase a low cost lunch or that you can eat your own lunch in the training room.

Entry Requirements

In general our courses are aimed at Level 2-3 and above.

Our courses are tailored to make them relevant to voluntary and community sector staff so that you will be able to go back to your organisation and apply the knowledge and skills you have gained.

Specific entry requirements are stated on the course pages e.g Quick Books courses require general word processing and data entry skills.

Cancellation Policy

All courses are subsidised for voluntary and community groups and non-attendance means that this money is lost or that we can run fewer courses in future. In addition we often have waiting lists where places could be filled if appropriate notice of a cancellation is given

  • Cancellations must be made in writing either by e-mail to or by text to 07410 441478
  • Refunds will only be given if  you have given us 5 clear working days notice
  • If less than 5 clear working days notice is given the full course fee will still be payable
  • Non-attendance is classed as a late cancellation and the full fee will be payable
  • We may charge for non-attendance at free courses - check the course details
  • You may delegate another member of your organisation to attend in your place rather than lose the full fee but you should let us know

We appreciate that, on occasion, non-attendance is unavoidable.  However we ask that the delegate's organisation covers the cost (where less than 5 clear working days notice has been given) so that we can keep course fees as low as possible.

All delegates are expected to check that they have authorisation  to attend the course from their organisation.
